Try hard. Those 3 days was “special event”. The effects were documented. It was like turning off a constantly running volcano for 3 days.
During the 70′s scientists did not have a mountain of proof pending ice age. The vast majority of pubished worked predicted warming. Stephen Schneider was misquoted. His prediction was ice age in 20,000 years. The 20,000 years was omitted.

Actually, I do. In the 70′s scientists were warning of a coming ice age. Time magazine did a cover story on it.
So far this century there has been no warming. Reality does not match what the computer models predict. One thing that computer models cannot predict is clouds, which have a tremendously greater impact on the weather than contrails.
This “experiment” is not repeatable. This is like clapping your hands before a volcano erupts, and assuming that your hand clapping caused it.
We are hopefully thankful that you are not employed in the secondary education system. You would never be allowed to teach on a college campus. The effects of grounding the aircraft for three days was measurable, detectable and assignable.
What Time Magazine published was not representative of the work being published by scientists. That has been a thoroughly debunked myth. Look up Naomi Oreskes, a science historian among other disciplines.
My main point is that during extremely cold weather, the global warming hysterics insist that we should not confuse short term evidence to imply a long term trend. Now we are supposed to believe that a non-repeatable, three day sample that shows only variance, and not warming, is concrete proof of a looming catastrophe. It’s funny how this short term evidence is acceptable when it “supposedly” supports your side of the arguement.
Even if 90% of it all is lies, that still leave some really serious problems than need to be sorted out if we are to survive.
We are undermining nearly every natural system on the planet and that is gonna come back and bite us one day.
Other than an asteroid, this is one of the most frightening concepts I’ve ever heard.

No, and neither can you. There always is, and always has been flooding somewhere in the world. And drought. And hot summers. And cold winters. Global warming hysterics use any and every weather event as “PROOF” that their theory is correct. They even use unusual cold weather to prove that it is getting hotter.

are you saying that i do nothing for the next decade for the future of my kids? and that the world will stay the same inspite of the fact that there was no flooding nor tsunamis decades ago, when i was still a child? things may have happened in the past (when there was no human), but you can’t discount the fact that the sun is getting bigger, the earth is getting old notwithstanding the fact that human plays an important role. your fart alone affects the atmosphere.

to the ppl arguing about floods and tsunamis stretching way back, most can be accounted for by natural events but if u look up the term ‘hockeystick’ it shows how these events have gone way beyond natural reasons

The potential risk to humanity is far too great to blithely dismiss the overwhelming body of scientific evidence as some sort of conspiracy theory concocted by a group of svengali types for their own personal profit.

While i enjoy watching BBC Documentaries, i would encourage everyone to do their own research before discussing them with anyone else. They tend to have very narrow views and limited resources. In other words, they tend to exaggerate.
After all, it is a television show and drama sells.
